The Gulf Series 11-Foot Surf Rod was built specifically for Gulf Coast pompano fishing.

Designed by Panhandle Salt for the way we fish the beaches of Perdido Key, Pensacola, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and the surrounding Gulf Coast, this rod gives surf anglers the balance of casting distance, comfort, and forgiveness needed for everyday pompano fishing.

We went with a medium-heavy carbon fiber blank and a fast tip to help load the rod during the cast, then recover quickly for better distance. While heavier blanks can add power, they can also be less forgiving during the fight. The Gulf Series 11-Foot was built to give anglers enough backbone to cast 2–5 oz sinkers, while still offering a more forgiving feel when fighting pompano and other surf species.

The 50/50 split two-piece design makes transportation easier without sacrificing the feel of a true surf rod. We also shortened the original butt section by 4 inches to create a more comfortable feel during the cast, retrieve, and fight.

Finished with Fuji components and built on a carbon fiber blank, this is a true Panhandle surf rod made for Gulf Coast conditions.
