Deerfield Fab & Welding 4-Foot Open Face Sand Spike. These are the same sand spikes we have used for years at Panhandle Salt and featured in hundreds of our surf fishing videos. The 4-foot open-face design is our go-to because it allows you to get the rod out of the spike and into your hands faster than a traditional tube-style holder.

That extra second matters when a fish takes off and you need to get tension on it quickly. Instead of lifting the rod straight up and then pulling it back, the open-face design lets you pull the rod directly toward you and get to work.
Each spike is fully aluminum, built to handle years of use around sand and saltwater, and includes foot pegs to make driving it into the sand easier. The adjustable butt rest lets you position the rod exactly where you want it.
